Fabric Care

Fabric Care Guide

Our pieces are thoughtfully crafted — and with a little care, they’ll remain timeless.

(For structured cotton styles such as jacquard, broderie, or lace-trim pieces, you’ll find additional details in the Premium Cotton Care section further down below)

  • Cotton styles (see our Premium Cotton Care section for the complete guide): Machine wash cold with like colors to preserve softness and shape. Air dry or tumble dry on low. For white cotton garments without delicate trims, a warm wash may be used as needed.
  • Viscose styles: Hand wash cold and reshape gently. Let air dry flat or on a hanger — never twist. For creases, use a steamer or iron on low through a cloth.
  • Delicate fabrics & embellishments (lace, tulle, embroidery, sequins, or shells): Hand wash cold and lay flat to dry. Avoid wringing or twisting. Handle gently to maintain the integrity of the details.

Premium Cotton & Textured Cotton Care

At ANNIVRE, we believe each cotton piece from the intricate broderie to the elegant jacquard deserves the same care and attention with which it was crafted. With a few thoughtful steps, your garment will remain as fresh and timeless as the day it arrived.

1. Gentle Everyday Care

  • Wash with Intention: Hand wash or use a delicate cold cycle with like colors. Place textured pieces (jacquard, broderie, lace trims) inside a mesh laundry bag to protect their weave.
  • Dry with Grace: Allow your garment to air dry flat or on a hanger. Tumble drying, even on low, can soften the fabric and diminish its natural structure.
  • The Pressing Secret: A warm iron with a pressing cloth restores a polished silhouette. Steaming alone relaxes cotton fibers and will not bring back that crisp boutique finish.

2. Reviving Crispness — Boutique Fresh

  • Light Mist: A whisper of fabric sizing or diluted starch refreshes the cotton’s body.
  • Press & Lift: Glide a warm iron gently in sections — never dragging — to renew the structured finish.
  • Set in Shape: Hang immediately to cool and hold its boutique-fresh form.

3. Protecting Against Shrinkage

  • Cold Water & Air Drying: Heat is cotton’s enemy. Wash cold and air dry to preserve the original fit and drape.
  • Handle with Care: Avoid repeated tumble drying, which can tighten the weave. Reshape gently while damp to maintain its natural silhouette.

4. If Your Cotton Feels Too Relaxed or Has Shrunk — to breathe life back into your cotton piece:

  1. Soak in lukewarm water with a hint of hair conditioner or baby shampoo for 10–15 minutes to soften fibers.
  2. Gently press out excess water (do not wring).
  3. Lay flat on a towel and coax the garment back to shape with your hands.
  4. Air dry flat, then finish with a warm iron press for renewed crispness.

Because true elegance is timeless, these simple steps will keep your ANNIVRE cotton pieces as refined and luxurious as the day they arrived.
